Terms and Conditions of Working with Miss Jones Group

Effective as of: November 01, 2023

These Terms of Use (together with the documents referred to in it) (“Terms”) explain how you may use our website https://missjonesgroup.com/ (“Website”). Use of the Website includes accessing, browsing, posting, linking to or registering to use our site. Please read these Terms carefully before you start to use the Website. Access to and use of the Website constitutes your acceptance of these Terms and your agreement to comply with them. If you do not agree with, or do not accept, any of these Terms, you should stop using the Website immediately. We reserve the right to amend these Terms from time to time. Therefore, please check these Terms from time to time, since any changes will apply from and including your first use of the Website following any such change.

1. Listing on the Website

To list your venue or supplier on the Miss Jones website is free and there are no joining or annual membership fees. You just have to agree to our commission structure (see section called ‘Commission Structure’) for any booked business that comes through us. You will be uploaded onto our website once you have signed and sent us our terms of business form. Miss Jones has the right to decline and amend submissions in line with our terms.

2. Privacy Policy

We may share your information with our advertisers and third parties, this may contain your personal data along with your venue data, where we have made a legitimate assessment of their compliance with GDPR and the processing purpose is modest and should be well understandable by you. If you no longer want to be contacted by third parties you can contact the operator online, by phone, or via email to opt out.

3. New Client Introductions

Our introduction is made when we pass the details of the venue or supplier to our client. This is confirmed by an email introduction from Miss Jones or an enquiry form via the Miss Jones website platform (www.missjonesgroup.com). Where an email introduction or website enquiry is not possible, due to timing purposes or other circumstances, Miss Jones can use other platforms to make this introduction (by phone, in-person introductions or social platforms). Our clients from time to time may also directly contact you via e-mail and cc us and/or mention they are aware of you through Miss Jones. This will also be considered as an introduction to your business.

4. New Client Rejection

It is assumed that the venue or supplier acknowledges and accepts a new Miss Jones client and/or enquiry on receipt of our email introduction, unless Miss Jones receives information as to when the same enquiry was previously received and by which source. If there is no rejection email flagged at that time, and a booking goes ahead with our client, a commission will be payable to Miss Jones Group.

5. Client Event Confirmation

The venue or supplier is responsible for keeping Miss Jones informed on the confirmation of any bookings made through our website or introductions. Miss Jones must be kept in copy of any email threads between the client and venue/supplier where possible. If this is not possible, Miss Jones must be informed of any booking confirmations once contracts are signed and events are booked in.

6. Payment

Settlement of invoices are due within 30 days after the event date (unless alternatively agreed upon). Miss Jones reserves the right to charge fees to overdue invoices and accounts.

7. Commission Structure

When a Miss Jones Client that we have introduced to your venue or supplier confirms a booking, it is the responsibility of the venue or supplier to provide Miss Jones group in writing by email the total spend of the booking after the event has taken place at which time the referral fees become payable. The venue or supplier is responsible to pay the commission rate as agreed upon when they submitted the registration form via our website.  If a customer makes additional purchases on top of the original booking, or indeed contracts a further booking with your venue, Miss Jones is entitled to receive commission on these bookings and particularly if a valid referral is made (for example, being copied into the new event enquiry via email). Miss Jones reserves the right to accept higher commission rates than agreed upon in the event of any specific promotions being run by the venue or supplier.

8. Change of Ownership

If the ownership of the venue or supplier is changed, it is the responsibility of the selling contacts at the venue or supplier to inform Miss Jones Group and ensure the new owners are aware of the future commission fee obligations. Should this not happen, the remaining commission payments will be the responsibility of the original owners. If the new owners are not able to agree to the referral terms, Miss Jones will need to receive a written email from the new owners to inform us so we can remove you from our directory.

9. Direct Soliciting of Miss Jones clients

Miss Jones encourages positive relationship building and making genuine connections between our clients and venues/suppliers and we offer numerous opportunities to do so via in-person events and promotions throughout the year, in particular through our Partner Memberships. However the Miss Jones business model operates on the basis of our clients making repeat bookings through us. We reward our clients and members so that they continually use our site and concierge service. We keep a % of commissions we earn and reward each client accordingly from that amount. In the event of a venue or supplier directly contacting our clients offering more favourable or discounted rates, and/or requesting them to ‘book directly’ in future, your offering will be blacklisted from Miss Jones and we may take legal action for any loss of earnings and bookings that are made with any of our members or clients in this way.
