What We Ate?
The Menu is small plates and sharing style so we got a bit of everything!
I don’t think it’s possible for me to go into a Mexican and not get Tortilla’s and Guac! I have to say FINALLY! A restaurant who has priced this at a reasonable price! £5.75 ! Normally £10 in most places so was happy about this!
I absolutely love Tostadas so we got these:
BRIXHAM – white crab, brown crab crema, pasilla chilies, grilled spring onions
CONTRAMAR marinated yellowfin tuna, chipotle mayo, crispy leeks, avocado
BARBACOA lamb shoulder & liver – rubbed in housemade adobo, wrapped in banana leaf – cooked for 7 hours and served with salsa borracha* & lambs lettuce – AMAZING!
CARNITAS slow cooked pork belly & collar, in a marinade of o.j., Mexican oregano, cinnamon & garlic, served with crispy pork skin, pickled jalapeno & salsa verde
CAMOTES grilled sweet potato, jalapeno mojo, queso fresco (v)
Dessert
I am not normally a dessert person but we were highly recommended the COCONUT FLAN – the classic caramel treat made with coconut milk, topped with toasted coconut. Wow! This just melts in your mouth! Absolutely amazing!
What we Drank?
It was lunch time so one drink was enough but had the gorgeous MEZCAL COOLER which Vida Mezcal, pomegranate, basil & soda
