If you would like to feel like you’re dining in a grand hall then take a look at Berners Tavern, situated on the corner of Ian Schrager’s London Edition Hotel. The first step through the small entrance is dazzling yet breathtaking. The high ceilings are placed with glamorous chandeliers as well as various portraits with golden frames decorating the walls surrounding you.
The Food
Michelin Starred-Chef Jason Atherton’s modern British menu boasts a range of dishes to suit every mood. From Fish and Chips to Grass fed Scottish steaks as well as the all time favourite Mac and Cheese. Not only is there a wide range on the A La Carte menu, diners can also have the option to have 2 or 3 courses on a set menu at lunch time!
As we visited at lunch time, we decided to try out the 2 course set menu, each plate was presented with such elegance and beauty, it almost looked too good to eat! Although we decided to have the set menu at lunch, this is also available all throughout the day on a Monday and Tuesday until 10:45pm as well as 5:30pm on Wednesdays and Sundays!
Our Thoughts!
If you want to add an element of stylishness and grace to your quick spot of lunch or dinner then Berners Tavern is a delight of a venue. The interior is truly breathtaking, it seems like a treat to dine in such a wonderful room! Another element that we absolutely love is the champagne trolly which circulates the room with a range from NV Ruinart Reims Champagne France, Brut Rosé to Dom Pérignon 2008.
