Daka Daka
Mayfair
A bold new chapter for Heddon Street, Daka Daka is bringing the flavours of Georgia to the heart of Mayfair.
Taking over the former residency space at 10 Heddon Street, Daka Daka is the debut London project from Berkeley Square Hospitality, led by Giorgi Mindiashvili and Mitz Vora. The focus is on a modern interpretation of Georgian cuisine, with open-fire cooking and menus built around native Georgian ingredients alongside seasonal British produce.
The two-floor space has been redesigned by Katya Samsonadze, blending folkloric textures with contemporary design and adding a new private dining room upstairs. A standout wine list featuring around 100 Georgian natural wines, plus cocktails built around chacha, completes what promises to be one of January’s most exciting openings.

Claridge’s Bakery
Mayfair
An iconic London venue is turning its attention to the simple joy of great bread and classic bakes.
Opening on Brook’s Mews in Mayfair, Claridge’s Bakery will be led by acclaimed baker Richard Hart, marking his long-awaited return to the UK. The menu celebrates British baking at its best, from bloomers and granary loaves to jammy dodger tarts, custard tarts, Belgian buns and iced fingers, all baked fresh each morning.
Inspired by Hart’s London upbringing and Claridge’s rich heritage, the bakery is designed to be welcoming and unfussy, whether you’re popping in for a loaf or lingering over something sweet. It’s a quietly exciting addition to the area and one that’s set to become a daily staple for locals and visitors.

MA/NA
Mayfair
Late-night glamour meets modern Japanese dining at this new Mayfair opening.
Launching on Grosvenor Street, MA/NA is the latest project from the Thesleff Group, the team behind Sale e Pepe and Los Mochis. Inspired by the Japanese philosophy of “mana”, the life force within ingredients, the menu explores traditional Japanese techniques through a contemporary lens, with dishes ranging from king crab with yuzu and truffle ponzu to wagyu seared on Himalayan salt stone.
The space is designed for evenings that unfold naturally, with cocktails flowing into dinner and back again. Dark wood panelling, amber lighting and a dramatic dragon-shaped banquette set the scene, while an extensive cocktail, wine and sake list ensures MA/NA feels as much like a destination bar as it does a restaurant.

Hoppers Shoreditch
Shoreditch
One of London’s most-loved Sri Lankan restaurants is opening a bold new chapter in Shoreditch.

This outpost expands beyond Sri Lanka to explore five regions of South India, with menus featuring regional curries, dosas, biryanis and street food alongside Hoppers classics like mutton rolls and jaggery lamb kari.
The design reimagines South Indian palaces and homes through a contemporary Shoreditch lens, while the drinks menu nods to café culture with playful takes on rose milk, filter coffee and jigarthanda.

A globally celebrated Indian restaurant is making its highly anticipated London debut.
Originally launched in Dubai, Tresind has built an international reputation for its modernist approach to Indian cuisine, blending bold flavours with refined presentation. The menu is expected to showcase dishes such as scarlet prawn crudo with Kashmiri chilli XO, premium steaks and luxurious plates finished tableside.
Set to open in Mayfair, the London outpost promises a high-end, theatrical dining experience with opulent interiors and meticulous attention to detail. Tiella Trattoria
Columbia Road
A cult pub residency is stepping into its long-awaited permanent home.

The former pub space retains its original character, with a central bar, open kitchen and a generous terrace for warmer months. With Italian wines, beers on tap and a neighbourhood-first feel, everyone will be wanting a table.

Burro
Covent Garden
Italian cooking, done with confidence and a generous hand of butter.
Opening in Covent Garden’s Floral Court, Burro is the first solo venture from Trullo chef and co-owner Conor Gadd. Set in the former Petersham Nurseries site, the restaurant blends Italian ’50s bistro style with subtle nods to Gadd’s Irish roots, alongside a tucked-away terrace perfect for lingering meals.
The menu leans into Italian classics, from fried artichokes with bottarga to fresh pastas like duck and porcini ragù, finished with indulgent mains such as vitello al burro. Desserts, including tiramisu bomboloni doughnuts, ensure a properly satisfying ending, making Burro one of the most comforting new openings to start the year.
