Our Top New Openings This February
Whether you’re planning a Valentine’s date or simply fancy trying somewhere new, explore our favourite new openings this February.
The Newman
Fitzrovia
A design-led Fitzrovia hotel that captures London’s creative spirit, with art, architecture and wellbeing woven into every detail.
Inspired by the neighbourhood’s bohemian past, The Newman blends old and new through thoughtful design references, from Shropshire House inspired marble basins to graphic tiling that nods to nearby historic hotels. Interiors by London-based studio Lind + Almond celebrate local characters and stories, with curated artworks, rich textures and warm tones creating spaces that feel both refined and connected to their surroundings.
Wellness is a standout here. A subterranean spa channels Nordic healing rituals with saunas, ice cabins, hydrotherapy pools and treatment rooms, while the penthouse takes things further with a private terrace, cold plunge and skyline views across central London. With 81 elegant rooms, The Newman feels like an exciting new addition to the capital’s hotel scene.
Opening: 1st of February
Dover Street Counter
Mayfair
A relaxed, rebellious younger sibling to The Dover, bringing energy and excellent food to Mayfair.
Created by restaurateur Martin Kuczmarski, Dover Street Counter sits just down the road from its polished counterpart but leans into a more laidback, all-day rhythm. With counter dining, louder music, and a menu that moves easily from tuna melts and burgers to short ribs and pasta. It’s stylish without trying too hard, and very much about atmosphere as much as what’s on the plate.
Inside, the space unfolds into a series of intimate rooms, with the counter seats offering the best view of the action. Classic cocktails, generous hospitality and comfort-led dishes make this the kind of place you can pop into casually and then end up staying far longer than planned!

Forza Wine Soho
Soho
The much-loved Forza Wine is expanding once again, this time landing in the heart of Soho.
Following the success of their rooftop original and the popular National Theatre outpost, Forza Wine’s Soho opening will take over a large space just off Charing Cross Road, complete with a generous terrace. While details are being kept under wraps, the formula is likely to feel reassuringly familiar: Italian-leaning small plates, low-intervention wines and a concise cocktail list heavy on negronis and margaritas.
If previous openings are anything to go by, this will quickly become a go-to for relaxed evenings, impromptu glasses of wine and long catch-ups. One to bookmark for February and beyond!

Temaki Mayfair
Mayfair
A cult handroll favourite makes a return, bringing Californian-inspired temaki to Mayfair.
Originally launched in Brixton, Temaki built a loyal following for its focus on beautifully made handroll sushi. Now reopening on Maddox Street, the new two-floor space will feature a 16-seat sushi counter upstairs and a more intimate, listening-bar-inspired dining room below.
Alongside classic temaki filled with premium fish, the menu will include crispy rice, sashimi and indulgent additions like A4 wagyu sliders. With sake, cocktails and wine on offer, Temaki Mayfair feels set to become a refined yet relaxed destination for sushi lovers.

Noodle Inn
Battersea Power Station
The viral noodle bar known for its queues is heading south, bringing hand-pulled comfort to Battersea Power Station.
After Soho and Spitalfields, Noodle Inn is opening its third London site on the top level of Turbine Hall at Battersea Power Station. The concept remains the same: an open kitchen where noodles are pulled by hand, inspired by the flavours of China’s Gansu province.
Expect thick noodles, deeply flavoured broths, dumplings and their cult chilli oil spill noodles, all in a buzzy, casual setting. With Battersea’s restaurant offering continuing to grow, this is a welcome and very exciting addition.

Cometa
Fitzrovia
A contemporary Mexican seafood restaurant from the team behind Carousel, opening a bold new chapter in Fitzrovia.
Cometa is the latest project from Carousel founders Ed and Ollie Templeton, transforming their former wine bar into a restaurant inspired by Mexico City institutions like Contramar. Led by a talented kitchen team, the menu will showcase British seafood through a Mexican lens, with ceviches, aguachiles and standout dishes like crab chilpachole rice and lobster with smoked chilli butter.
The drinks list leans just as confidently into mezcal, spicy margaritas and house-made agua frescas. With a redesigned space and a clear creative vision, Cometa feels like a natural evolution and one of February’s most exciting openings.
Opening: 20th of February
Onsu
Soho
A highly anticipated new bakery bringing Asian flavours and serious pastry credentials to Soho.
Onsu is the debut bakery from chef Michael Kwan, former Executive Pastry Chef at The Dorchester and a multi-title pastry champion. Located on Dean Street, the bakery blends classical European techniques with Asian-inspired flavours, resulting in a menu that’s both playful and precise.
From black truffle toast and wagyu beef curry buns to salted egg yolk mille-feuille and oolong chocolate tarts, the offering is exciting and indulgent. Add in the viral minus 86°C coffee and Onsu is already shaping up to be one of Soho’s most talked-about new openings.

Osteria Vibrato marks the return of restaurateur Charlie Mellor, best known for The Laughing Heart, alongside chef Gaia Enria of Burro e Salvia. The menu embraces traditional Italian structure, focusing on simplicity, hand-rolled pasta and carefully sourced ingredients, with some dishes available to pre-order to heighten the sense of occasion.
Wine is central to the experience, with an extensive yet thoughtfully curated list featuring older vintages and classic styles. With just 33 seats, rotating art displays and an atmosphere designed to feel timeless, Osteria Vibrato promises intimate, memorable meals made for lingering.

Dim Sum Duck
King’s Cross
One of King’s Cross’ most loved restaurants is expanding and making it easier to finally get a table!
Dim Sum Duck has quietly become a cult favourite for its all-day dim sum and exceptional Cantonese roast duck. With just 20 seats at the original site, queues have become part of the experience, but a second location opening nearby on Pentonville Road promises welcome relief.
The new restaurant will serve the same menu seven days a week, offering plump dumplings, comforting noodle dishes and beautifully roasted duck at refreshingly reasonable prices. If you’ve struggled to get in before, this second opening is very good news indeed.

The Good Front Room
Dalston
A deeply personal dining concept rooted in memory, storytelling and modern Caribbean cooking.
Created by Chef Dom Taylor, winner of Five Star Chef, The Good Front Room is inspired by childhood memories of his great-aunt Myrtle’s immaculate, off-limits living room – a space reserved for special guests and special moments. That sense of care and occasion carries through to the dining experience.
The menu celebrates Caribbean culinary traditions through a contemporary European lens, blending classical training with bold, expressive flavours. Warm, thoughtful and unlike anything else in the city, The Good Front Room is as much about feeling welcomed as it is about what’s on the plate.
