Located in the crypt of iconic St George’s church in Mayfair, Undercroft is Chef Brad Carter’s debut London restaurant. Featuring dim lighting, exposed brick walls, and quirky seating, Undercroft is all about the ambiance. Sticks’n’Sushi – Islington
On 28th September, Islington’s Upper Street welcomes the arrival of Danish-Japanese restaurant Sticks’n’Sushi – bringing its unique combination of quality sushi and sticks from the grill to the heart of North London, for the first time. A go-to name for some of the UK’s best sushi and sticks, the menu features signature dishes, such as the Black Cod house roll – miso-marinated black cod with vegetable chips & pickled red onion, alongside classic and creative sushi, sashimi, tartares and generous set menus to suit varied budgets and tastes. If fish isn’t your thing, sticks from the grill include Ibérico Secreto – miso-cured black Iberian pig with lemon; charred chicken wings; and Wagyu Yaki – Japanese Wagyu from Kyushu. Soul Mama
Soul Mama is a jazz and gosepl venue opening in Stratford this September. Expect live music accompanied by jerk chicken, one pot dishes, mango jerk cauliflower, pepper prawns and much more, from Executive Chef, Aleandro Brown. Aleandro Brown has previously worked at Ketwch and The Ritz London). Through a successful crowdfunding campaign, YolanDa Brown OBE DL and Adetokunbo “T” Oyelola made history, breaking records not just in the UK but globally for the largest amount raised by a restaurant on the Kickstarter platform and as a result becoming Guinness World Records Holders.
Leydi
Leydi, a modern Turkish restaurant in Hyde Hotel in Farringdon, offers authentic Istanbul flavors curated by chef consultant Selin Kiazim and head chef Halil Simsek.
