London’s dining scene shows no signs of slowing down, with a fresh wave of restaurants, bars and all-day destinations opening across the city this October. From exciting new concepts and intimate omakase counters to new locations from some of London’s most established names, there’s plenty to look forward to.

New Openings This Month
Cordelia’s
Mayfair
Taking over the former L’Atelier Robuchon site on Clarges Street, Cordelia’s Mayfair is a new live-fire steakhouse bringing a contemporary take on classic dining to Mayfair.
The menu will centre around British cuts of beef cooked over charcoal, alongside seafood and seasonal dishes, with cocktails and a late-night atmosphere adding to the experience. With its prime location and sophisticated setting, it’s one to watch for dinners and entertaining in the heart of Mayfair.

Soul Mama
Stratford
Following the success of its Islington and previous Stratford locations, Soul Mama is opening a new home in Westfield Stratford City this October.
Created by musician and broadcaster YolanDa Brown, the concept combines food, live music and entertainment, with a menu drawing from African, Caribbean and South American influences. The new venue will offer lunch during the day before transforming into a restaurant and live music venue in the evening, with weekend brunches also on the menu.

Cloth
The City
Cloth is taking over one of the City’s most historic restaurant spaces, moving into the former Simpson’s Tavern on Cornhill.
The new restaurant will bring the Cloth team’s modern British chophouse concept to the Grade II-listed setting, with a menu focused on quality British produce, chops and steaks, while also paying homage to some of Simpson’s Tavern’s classic dishes. Opening on 1 October, it’s an exciting new addition to the City dining scene.

Carmelina’s
Covent Garden
Opening as part of The Webster hotel at Lincoln’s Inn Fields, Carmelina’s is set to bring an Italian all-day dining experience to central London.
Expect handmade pasta, an open kitchen, a dedicated wine bar and a relaxed yet polished atmosphere. The wider destination will also include Carmelina’s Al Banco, a Milanese-inspired café and terrace, alongside basement cocktail bar Carla’s, making this more than just a new restaurant opening.

ENDO & Moga
Chelsea
Sushi master Endo Kazutoshi is bringing his next chapter to Chelsea this October with ENDO, an intimate 10-seat omakase restaurant at Blacklands Terrace.
Guests will experience a multi-course Japanese menu prepared directly at the counter, while upstairs, Moga will offer a completely different experience as a sophisticated listening bar. Together, the two spaces create a destination that moves from an intimate dining experience downstairs to drinks and music upstairs.

Market Place
Victoria
Market Place is bringing its food hall concept to Victoria Station this October, with a collection of food and drink vendors under one roof.
The new location will be the group’s first food hall inside a major London station, offering a variety of cuisines and plenty of choice for groups. With its central location and flexible format, it’s designed for everything from quick lunches and after-work drinks to casual group gatherings.

Torino
Paddington
Set within Paddington Square, Torino is a new three-storey Italian “social house” bringing together a restaurant, bakery and rooftop bar.
The concept is designed to take guests from morning coffee and freshly baked goods through to Italian dining and aperitivo, with the rooftop offering views across London. With its all-day format and location next to Paddington Station, Torino is set to become a new destination for both locals and those travelling through the area.

The Prince Arthur
Chelsea
The Prince Arthur is moving from its original Belgravia home to Chelsea, where the pub is being transformed into a Basque-inspired restaurant.
Expect a menu centred around seafood, premium ingredients and cooking over fire, alongside a dedicated fish counter and an upstairs bar. The combination of a neighbourhood pub feel with a more elevated restaurant offering makes it an interesting addition to Chelsea’s dining scene.

Dishoom
London Bridge
One of London’s most recognisable restaurant groups is heading to Borough this October, with Dishoom taking over the Grade II-listed Hop Exchange on Southwark Street.
Spread across two floors with a covered verandah, the new restaurant will bring Dishoom’s Bombay-inspired all-day dining to London Bridge, alongside dishes created especially for the new location, including Keralan pepper chicken. The opening also includes a 50% food discount during its soft-launch period from 12–20 October.

Roast Shoreditch
Shoreditch
After more than two decades at Borough Market, Roast is opening its second London restaurant in Shoreditch this October.
Located on Curtain Road at Virgin Hotels London-Shoreditch, the new restaurant will continue Roast’s focus on modern British cooking, seasonal ingredients and its much-loved roast dinners. It’s a natural next step for the established brand and brings its signature style of British dining to a new part of the city.

Venus Bar at Brasserie Olivia
Sloane Square
Hidden beneath Brasserie Olivia in Sloane Square, Venus Bar is a new underground cocktail bar with a more intimate, late-night feel.
The wood-panelled space is designed around vintage records and a relaxed drinking-den atmosphere, offering cocktails and music away from the bustle of the brasserie upstairs. As part of La Nouvelle Garde’s first London opening, it adds another layer to the already lively Brasserie Olivia destination.

Alto 19
Canary Wharf
Taking over the 19th floor of the Locke hotel in Canary Wharf, Alto 19 is a new Mediterranean restaurant from the group behind Kricket and Lina Stores.
The menu is being led by a former J Sheekey chef and is designed to be deliberately unfussy, with the high-rise setting providing the real wow factor. With panoramic views and a relaxed Mediterranean approach, Alto 19 looks set to be a standout new destination for dining and drinks in Canary Wharf.
