Intro
What better way to combat the cold and the dark, than with a warm drink to keep the chill at bay.
Monkey 47 Lodge at The Rosewood
Monkey 47 have taken over the courtyard at the Rosewood to create a romantic winter wonderland. The space has been transformed into an Alpine Lodge with glittering fairy lights an candles casting a warm glow on the atmospheric decorations of lether-bound books, floral wallpaper and the signature monkey statues. The venue has no roof, so guests can gaze up into the night sky while they enjoy a night feasting and merriment. Don’t worry though! Although there is no roof, the space is sure to keep its guests warm and comfortable with a legion of heaters and furry blankets, not to mention the favourite cocktail to keep you warm to your toes. The cocktail, called Oma’s Secret, is an invigorating mix of sloe gin, cloudy apple juice and hibiscus tea. And to finish things off on a sweet note, try the Black Forrest Gateau, a frothy cocktail made from cherry Herring, port and lemon juice.
Dalloway Terrace
Each year the Dalloway Terrace gets a magical festive make over and we can’t wait to visit again this winter. Enjoy afternoon tea or cocktails among the mystical fairy lights snow dusted trees and wrap up warm in soft blankets. As the temperature drops, it is time for more heart warming cocktails such as the Barbour & Barrel with Bulleit Bourbon, honey, ginger syrup, pineapple juice, lemon juice and egg white. Or take a sip of the fiery Big Smoke cocktail made from Ancho Reyes, quiquiriqui, orange chilli syrup, chipotle tincture and ginger ale.
