REVIEW: Georgian House

What?

A five-star boutique bed & breakfast.

Georgian House was built in 1851 by the current owner’s great great great grandfather and the famous city-planner/architect Thomas Cubitt. The property has been extended over the years and is now a 63-room chic choice of accommodation with beautifully individually-styled rooms, original features and plenty of marble.

Where?

It’s located a few minutes’ walk from Pimlico Road, Elizabeth Street and Ebury Street, perfect for browsing eclectic antique shops, retro retailers and quirky design outlets, and just ten minutes from Victoria station.

Meeting Room & Cinema

The Pimlico Pantry is a delightful breakfast room, there is a small bar, and a meeting room that can seat 14 boardroom style. Delegate meeting packages include tea/coffee, bacon and egg rolls, mid-morning cookies, mid-afternoon scones, jam and clotted cream, and working lunch.

Georgian House uses suppliers from Sussex, Kent and Surrey. Resident can enjoy the award-winning full English breakfast whilst the ‘Mini Georgian’ for children consists of fried quail eggs, cherry tomatoes and cocktail sausages. Afternoon tea is very popular, and in the summer, the hotel ran a hugely successful cheese afternoon tea and a children’s afternoon tea.

In November last year, Georgian House launched a cinema for two people on the third floor of the hotel. It has a traditional cinema pinboard outside the door, classic red velvet sofa for two people, retro lighting and a mini bar. Called ‘Pimlico Pictures’, it offers a new and personalised pictorial experience with a choice of classic movies, new releases or you can just log into your own Netflix account and binge! Popcorn, hotdogs and alcoholic drinks can be ordered.

Harry Potter Fan?

As well as the thoughtfully-designed rooms, the hotel’s Wizard Chambers and Enchanted Chambers are very popular, booked up months and months in advance.

Our Thoughts?

This is a great find for the Victoria area.

There are not many hotels in the area and we love this one!

Their downstairs meeting area is perfect for meetings- bright and airy!
