Miss Jones’ Top Picks for Brunch in London

For meat lovers: Hawksmoor Guildhall

Serving up classics such as the Full English, Eggs Benedict, and Smoked Salmon with scrambled eggs, you can’t go wrong with this chic location. If you’re feeling adventurous, you could try the Lobster Benedict or Bacon Chop, paired with one of Hawksmoor’s ‘Anti-Fogmatics’ known to you and I as cocktails. Alternatively, try wild mushrooms and poached eggs on toast, paired with one their Juice Blends. For a lighter brunch there’s a lovely selection of Fruit and Grains, including Granola and Porridge.

Something new: Indian Accent

If a Full English isn’t taking your fancy, why not try an inventive Indian brunch? Choose from the likes of fresh green pea bhel, to chilli crab cheese toast your taste buds are bound to be pleased. What’s more, Indian Accent have crafted the perfect cocktails to pair with your brunch, such as the Ceylon Bellini or Spiced Tomato Martini.

Cheap and cheerful: The Barge House

Enjoy the views of the river, whilst indulging in their Breakfast in Bed menu, now available on Friday, Saturday and Sunday, starring their infamous sourdough loaf filled with a Full English Breakfast, (vegetarian and vegan options are available and look equally as tempting). Alternatively, keep it simple with classic comforts such as marmite on toast or a bacon sandwich.

Luxury: OXO Bankside

Three course brunch? Yes please! With unlimited starters from the Chef’s Traders Tables, including a salad bar, fish meat and vegetarian options, this brunch spot will never leave you hungry. From there, head to the waffle and egg station, where you can have your eggs your way, and choose from a selection of fillings for your waffle. If neither of these tickle your fancy, there’s always the main course of three hot dishes served as sharing plates to the table. Save room for dessert as it’s again unlimited at the Chef’s Traders Table, featuring classics such as creme brulee, or healthy options of fresh fruit, and a cheese board…because why not?

A bit of everything: The Jam Tree – Clapham

Whether it’s the traditional dishes that are your calling for Brunch, or you crave the nostalgia from across the pond, The Jam Tree has got you covered. Swap your full English for Chicken and Waffles, or go crazy and try the North African inspired dish, Shakshouka. Why not treat yourself to bottomless prosecco to go with your ultimate brunch dish?
