Open for lunch and dessert, Roger van Damme’s superb restaurant is housed in a fairy-tale ‘gingerbread house’ on the edge of the Botanic Sanctuary Antwerp’s site. The restaurant’s fame is based on creative, innovative desserts and modern twists on sweet classics, although savoury starters and mains are testament to the chef’s inquisitive creativity – anyone for cherry shrimp with notes of yuzu and jalapeño? Followed perhaps by an equally mouth-watering Beef Wellington and, the pièce de resistance, a signature dessert.
