Vermuteria is an all-day café and bar built on the traditions of Europe’s greatest bistros in Italy, France and Spain. This characterful little nook, right at the heart of Coal Drops Yard, is the creation of designer Michael Sodeau and restaurateur Anthony Demetre.
You’ll find an ever-changing seasonal menu, from breakfast through to supper. As you might expect, vermouth is a big thing at Vermuteria: with a vast array from all corners of Europe. There’s also a large selection of carefully selected natural wine, tempting cocktails, and fine coffee from London’s AllPress.
The Terrace for up to 40 serves the full food and drinks menu. Typical dishes include Duck rillettes with cornichons; and Highland venison ragù with potato gnocchi and aged Parmesan. There are no reservations, it is a first come, first serve.
Vermuteria will transform you to the Mediterranean with the warm sun on your back, holding a glass of something lovely in hand.
