Whether it’s a formal dinner in the elegant Georgian rooms, a conference presentation in our iconic Lecture Theatre, an away day in the Conversation Room or a canape reception spilling out on the modern Mezzanine, the flexible venue allow you to curate your perfect event experience.
Spaces
The Library can be hired in conjunction with the adjoining Georgian room and writing room to create a versatile suite of event spaces. These rooms can be used together for private dining or receptions, or separately, with the Library as the core event space, and the Writing and Georgian rooms as breakout and catering spaces. The Library, Georgian Room and Writing Room together can accommodate smaller conferences for under 100 people, as well as private and corporate events in the day and evening.
The Theatre is a unique and historic auditorium able to accommodate venue hire bookings of up to 400 people. It is also a great filming location for your next livestreamed conference, hybrid presentation or even corporate video.
The Mezzanine is one of the Royal Institution’s most contemporary event spaces with its clean lines, glass balcony and impressive views over the Atrium. It is the perfect venue to hire for networking events or as a conference breakout space, hosting up to 100 people. A large, stylish room with bold décor, the very name of the Conversation Room could be a talking point for your guests! Conveniently located on the ground floor this is the perfect space for a conference accommodating up to 50 guests cabaret or 100 guests theatre style. Combined with the Conversation Room is the Mezzanine, a quirky and contemporary space ideal for catering and refreshments.
Exclusive hire of the first floor: The First Floor spaces flow together beautifully to create a flexible event space ideal for conferences, receptions, launches and formal dinners. The original marble Grand Entrance staircase leads to our iconic Lecture Theatre or to the Library, Georgian and Writing Rooms, which can be used as one large interconnected catering room or used as individual breakout spaces. Also included is the Demonstration Room, ideal as a breakout space or green room for speakers.
Full venue exclusive hire: Exclusive hire includes the Georgian rooms, the Demonstration room and the iconic lecture theatre on the First Floor, the Conversation Room and Mezzanine on the Ground Floor as well as the glass roofed Atrium and the Royal Institution museum on the Lower Ground Floor. Exclusive hire allows you the space and flexibility to design the perfect experience for your guests. It suits events with a large number of attendees or for luxury events such dinners, award ceremonies or launches.
