The Feathered Nest

The Feathered Nest Inn is a gourmet bolthole located in the picturesque village of Nether Westcote in the heart of the Cotswolds.

The original building dates back to the 15^th century which has been thoughtfully updated, refurbished and developed to ensure it retains its period charm while offering a taste of modern luxury.

The culinary offering is a key part of The Feathered Nest Inn with Head Chef Matt Weedon, earning multiple culinary accolades (including a Michelin Star at Glenapp Castle and Lords of the Manor). The approach to the food at The Feathered Nest is that of quality seasonal ingredients, brought daily, treated with respect and cooked using the right techniques with traditional flavour combinations.

As a business and as a kitchen, they collectively strive to provide something for everybody. Whether it’s the 6-course Tasting Menu with a wine pairing or, the 8oz Nest Burger with a local Hooky ale, the idea is to offer the best of what’s in season and do it all with the justice it deserves.

The Feathered Nest boasts numerous spaces to eat and drink, including the beautiful garden room and the light and airy dining room, both of which lead into the gardens. The interiors combine the contemporary and traditional, with cool muted tones, mismatched furniture and exposed wooden beams.

The head barman and lead mixologist Rui Duarte, delivers a broad range of modern and traditional cocktails (arguably the best in the Cotswolds) to enjoy in one of the bar’s cosy snugs, by a roaring wood burner or, on one of the quirky horse saddle bar stools.

The Nest offers a ‘one menu across one venue’ approach with dogs and, those walkers with muddy boots, more than welcome in the bar and snug area.

Oenophiles are well taken care of with more than 280 varieties of wine on offer, including many from unusual or smaller vineyards, which work exclusively with The Feathered Nest in the UK.

When the sun shines guests can enjoy The Feathered Nest’s alfresco gardens, which offer stunning views across the Evenlode Valley.

For travellers looking to rest their heads there are four individually styled guest rooms or the recently refurbished adjoining ‘The Cottage’ which again, marry the traditional with the modern.

Easily accessible and ideally located in the heart of the Cotswolds, the mainline train is located a few miles away in the village of Kingham.
