Dating back to the early 16th century, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel, a former Grade II listed monastery which lives on through the original architecture – from the dramatic stone cloisters to the gothic stained-glass windows – offers guests a chance to experience a unique taste of what life in an abbey was once like.
A recent £4.2m renovation, meticulously designed to celebrate the hotel’s heritage, introduced the new brasserie-style dining experience in The Refectory restaurant, situated in the site of the original nun’s cafeteria, as well as eight new bedrooms situated on the second floor with a further seven rooms built in the original schoolhouse in St Anne’s Wing, bringing the total number of bedrooms to 70.
Set in 26 acres of extensive gardens, Stanbrook Abbey Hotel in Worcester is one of Worcestershire’s best-kept secrets and the perfect retreat whether you are looking for a romantic break or somewhere unique to hold a special event, wedding or meeting. You can even share your experience with your canine companion, just ask us about our dog friendly breaks.
