At Gilpin we have two hotels on two separate estates, but one team, so your time with us wherever you are should be seamless. Choose between a very chilled out hotel, Gilpin Hotel, or our hotel-come-country-house, Gilpin Lake House…
GILPIN HOTEL
Set in 21 acres, Gilpin Hotel has 30 bedrooms, two restaurants (Michelin Starred SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel (previously named HRiSHi) and the casual pan Asian Gilpin Spice), a Champagne Bar, lounge, terraces, spa treatment area – and our resident llamas and alpacas! Twenty two rooms have their own hot tubs, some also with a private ensuite spa. Please note these are all at the main hotel (not the Lake House), so if you’re wanting your own hot tub, the hotel is the place for you!
THE RESTAURANTS: With our complimentary evening chauffeur service between the main hotel and the Lake House, guests can dine in any of our three restaurants.
At the Michelin-Starred SOURCE at Gilpin Hotel, their first Lake District menu, working with local suppliers for seasonal, beautiful produce has been introduced.
GILPIN LAKE HOUSE
Just a mile away from Gilpin Hotel you will find Gilpin Lake House, a sanctuary set on 100 acres of private grounds with its own private lake. With just 6 bedrooms (soon to be 8 rooms) sharing the boat house, spa treatment room, hot tubs, saunas, and swimming pool, this is a stunning private paradise. In the evenings our new Knipe Grill at the Lake House serves dishes that are based on cooking with charcoal and different woods. Head Chef Tom Westerland aka ‘Westy’ says “My food is very fun, there’s always a bit of a story behind it.”
