1751 is a quintessential experience for anyone who seeks an escape from the ordinary and the mundane. We welcome people with open and enquiring minds, life travellers looking for new taste experiences. Join us for some extraordinary mixology and modern British dining. You’ll find classic British dishes on the menu but there’s an international influence too with a contemporary grill and a pizza oven. Dine on your own, bring friends, family and colleagues or we can provide private dining for intimate gatherings in our Distillery Dining Room.

The Distillery – our pride and joy, Lady Catherine, is our copper pot still. Together with the distillery team, she’s busy every day distilling our signature gin collection to fuel our bar. The name ‘Lady Catherine’ relates to Lady Catherine Manners, the wife of Henry Pelham, the Prime minister in 1751 and a key protagonist in the introduction of the ‘Gin Act’ of the same year. Our signature gin selection includes our unique creations from our in-house distillery. Matt our master distiller has come up with a range of exquisite house gins. Ask one of our friendly bar staff for one of our bespoke gin sliders – the perfect way to introduce the whole family.

Private Dining Room

The private dining room offers an intimate space which works well for small groups up to 12, directly next to our in house Gin Distillery, guests will be able to enjoy viewing the distillery in between food and drinks. From exclusive corporate dinners to brunch parties at the weekends. The distillery dining room is the perfect spot for smaller parties to indulge and relax.

Events

For large groups, the main restaurant is a beautiful, airy space, with a stylish mix of comfortable banquette seating and smaller tables with chairs. The tables can be arranged to suit you, and you are welcome to bring in (pre-approved) decorations to add to your table. The standing semi-exclusive areas also provide a view into the open kitchen, where you’ll be able to enjoy all the theatre of your dining experience whilst sampling our delicious food and drinks.
