When it gets to this time of year, most people are faced with the questions “What am I going to do on NYE? Where am I going to be?”
We’ve come up with some ideas on where to go and what to do on this special night and hopefully give you some inspiration for New Years Eve.
If someone says NYE, almost everyone will imagine some party. That is probably what this night is about. About one big party, celebrating the fact that the year has gone and hoping that another year will be better and will bring something awesome into our lives.
So the first idea definitely has to be GO TO A CLUB. The question is where to find a good party on NYE. And there are a few of my tips: Heaven, Cargo, Fabric, Studio 388, Printworks London, XOYO, Egg London…
There also some special PARTIES around London. Def needs to be mentioned the Creatures of the Night at the Natural History Museum, New Year´s Eve Ball at Batersee Evolution, New Year at the Gold Mansion, New Years´s Eve Pub Crawl with Zoo Bar or a special NYE Bash party at Skylight´s rooftop bar with skate an ice rink, so put your skates on and let´s party!
But what New Year’s Eve would be without a FIREWORK. Fireworks are inherently attached with this evening and with celebrations in general. But especially on this night there are massive fireworks placed all over the biggest cities in the world. Very famous is the firework place in Sydney for example.
But you can also find a spectacular one like that in London. The most amazing firework is annually displayed at Coca-Cola London Eye. If you want to attend to this party, you have to buy a ticket as this even has been ticketed since 2014. Or if you will be lazy and will celebrate at home, you can watch it in your TV.
If you do not want to join this event, you can also easily watch this pyrotechnical show from one of the RESTAURANTS OR BARS with the view, or even from the boat while the CRUISE.
One of the restaurants which offers amazing view is OXO Tower Restaurant, Bar and Brasserie. OXO Tower is located at Bankside, however you can choose from the brasserie or the restaurant, but both will give you the most amazing view of St Paul´s Cathedral or the river Thames.
Another restaurant is Tate Modern Restaurant which can you find on the ninth floor of the Blavatnik Building. The restaurant will offer you the same view as the previous one – of Thames and wonderful St Paul´s Cathedral.
The next restaurant offering the view of Thames is Rick Stein´s which is a restaurant of the TV chef´s restaurant.
There is also a restaurant of a very famous TV chef Gordon Ramsey called The Narrow located in Limehouse, a little bit further by the river. But if you take a place in the conservatory or on the terrace you can enjoy a view of The City of beautiful Canaray Wharf.
If you are not afraid of heights you can also visit some amazing restaurants around London with a panoramic view. The first one is Sky Garden, where can you find Darwin Brasserie or Frenchurch Restaurant among the ferns and palms.
Another place with a breath taking view is 110 Bishopsgate, where you can find Duck and Waffle – 24 hours restaurant. Or if you love Japanese Sushisamba which is also placed there will be the right choice for you.
In the iconic London building called Gherkin you can find a lovely restaurant – Helix. As well as a bar Iris, which is just a floor above. A perfect spot where to grab a drink on NYE.
The last one but not least is Galvin at Windows which is a Michelin-starred restaurant with an amazing view of Hyde Park. But because of the fact its Michelin-starred its probably not for everyone.
For those who like SHOWS AND CONCERTS I also have a few tips. You can visit the Viennese New Years´s Eve Gala at the Barbican, watch comedians at the New Year´s Eve Comedy Carneval or join The Nutcracker at the Royal Albert Hall.
