Review: Runnymede on Thames

The Runnymede on Thames is a true original. From its modern design to its stunning setting on the banks of the River Thames, near to Windsor and just minutes from London Heathrow Airport and 40 minutes from central London.

This contemporary, comfortable four-star hotel has an independent spirit that flows through every experience, offering a relaxed ambience with friendly, professional personal service.

The River Thames is their inspiring next-door neighbour and a very important part of the hotel’s identity. Whether you choose to just relax with a glass of wine on the riverside and watch the water flowing by, or enjoy a picturesque walk along The Thames Path, or hire one of their fleet of private riverboats for a day trip on the Thames, their unique riverside location has everything you will need to keep you entertained, or indulged.

The Bedrooms….

Ample in size, their Deluxe Double rooms are stylish and comfortable, with many offering beautiful river views. Each features a large Hypnos bed fitted with a top-of-the-range Dacron non-allergenic Comforel Allerban duvet.

Drink and Dine….

The Hotel has two restaurants ‘ The Lock Bar & Kitchen’ and ‘ The Left Bank’ which is situated in the main area of the hotel which holds a delicious and hearty breakfast buffet. The Hotel also has a lovely modern lounge where you can just pop in ( FREE PARKING ON SITE! Win!) and have a coffee meeting with a client.

Meetings & Events…

The Runnymede takes a thoroughly modern approach to business. Their riverside location is a breath of fresh air from the hustle and bustle of the city, yet they’re conveniently accessible from Heathrow Airport and central London, minutes away from Royal Windsor and just seconds from the M25 and other major motorways.

Their meeting spaces can host anything from 6 to 150 delegates. There’s natural daylight, air conditioning and flexible space in every meeting room, plus an extensive choice of dining options and a dedicated Guest Services team to look after you during your event. The atmosphere is typically laid-back, with plenty of places to chat and chill. They have designed it this way because they believe that when delegates relax, they work more effectively, too. They also have two igloo’s available to hire out for a more ‘quirkey’ meeting.

Team Building….

Their beautiful riverside location means they can host unique events such as an enjoyable riverboat cruise or exhilarating Dragon Boat Challenge. Weather-permitting, impromptu waterside chill-out sessions on colourful beanbags and friendly Jenga tournaments are all possibilities. They can also organise more traditional team-building  activities such as five-a-side football, clay-pigeon shooting and off-road driving.

The hotel is also located near lots of tourist attractions including Thorpe Park, Lego Land, Windsor Castle, Windsor, Warner Brothers Tour, Ascot and Twickenham Stadium.

Pamper Yourself….

Boasting an indoor and outdoor swimming pools*, whirlpool bath, infrared and traditional saunas, eucalyptus steam room, and you can enjoy endless pampering with a range of treatments for both men and women from luxury brands Guinot, ESPA and Jessica.
