What?
BUTTERSCOTCH TEA ROOM – the second home of Butterscotch Bakery in London by Bea Vo.
Where?
James Street in Marylebone, nestled within St Christopher’s Place.
The Vibes?
Split over two floors; the first is home to a relaxed café space dotted with footstools and window bench seating. The afternoon tea room downstairs is a space adorned with white marble tables, a hand-made paper flower wall feature and accentuated by tones of copper.
What we ate?
We had Afternoon tea and enjoyed a selection of sandwiches such as Roasted Cherry Tomato, Buffalo Mozzarella with Basil Infused Olive Oil and Roasted Butternut Squash with Goat’s cheese and sage infused Olive Oil (so good you forget it’s all veggie!).
Freshly baked scones with Cornish clotted cream and jam, a selection of mini meringues, mini Buckeye peanut butter brownies (a must try) & mini Belgian Blondies. We can’t forget the Red Velvet cupcakes with Mascarpone Cream Cheese Frosting. To top it all of, we finished with a Vegan Chocolate Mousse Pot.
Our Thoughts?
Sporting a completely vegetarian menu with vegan and gluten free options, there is definitely something for everyone. Perfect a quick on-the- go coffee and cakes or more relaxed afternoon tea experience.
