With New Years Eve following closely after Christmas, it’s often an after thought and you’re left not knowing what to do. We’ve put together a list of places that we think should be checked out this year to bring in the new decade!
New Years Eve at The Gherkin – The City
Welcome in the new decade in style and celebrate sky-high from the top of The Gherkin.
Guests are invited to enjoy a glass of vintages Dom Perignon 2009, before indulging in a five-course meal in the Helix restaurant. Celebrations will continue into the night at the Iris bar, with a glass of Veuve Clicquot as the clock strikes midnight – £350 per person.
For those wishing to start their celebrations early and enjoy The Gherkin’s views in daylight, the Helix restaurant will also be serving an A La Carte lunch menu.

The Prince Regent – Camden
For New Year’s Eve on The Prince Regent, guests can board the boat from 8pm with a welcome glass of sparkling wine to kick off celebrations. The boat will then cruise along Regent’s Canal whilst guests are served a delicious six course menu, with the boat arriving in Camden for the fireworks at midnight with another glass of fizz. For £120 per person, including a glass of English sparkling wine on arrival and at midnight, the menu will feature:

The Grand Duchess – Paddington
Aboard The Grand Duchess, London Shell Co.’s permanently moored floating restaurant, there will be two sittings, suiting those who have elsewhere to go before midnight and another for those who fancy dancing on a boat as the new year arrives. The beautifully refurbished barge has glass panels in the side of the boat, allowing guests to look directly onto the canal as they dine. The Captains Table, a secluded and intimate dining area at the bow of The Grand Duchess, can also be booked privately for a group of ten people looking for a unique place to celebrate. New Years inspired by NYC – Battersea Evolution
Be transported to Times Square with the New Year’s Eve Ball at Battersea Evolution. The themed party pays homage to the Big Apple with dodgems and speakeasy bars. New years on Skates – Skylight, Tobacco Dock
Get your skates on and head to the NYE Bash at Skylight’s rooftop bar, complete with an ice rink and bookable igloos to nestle in. The NYE party will feature special guest DJs and party favours all night long, and the London Fireworks will be displayed on the 12 screens dotted throughout the venue so you don’t miss out on the show. St Pancras by Searcy’s – Kings Cross
Join the Searcys St Pancras team for a roaring twenties-themed New Year’s Eve party with jazz, canapes and Champagne. You will be greeted by a Champagne reception and canapes, followed by an indulgent three-course meal. The dishes include line-caught sea bass, oxtail ravioli, fennel, watercress puree, cep and a tarragon sauce and a roast venison loin with slow- cooked haunch, rosemary gnocchi, celeriac puree and potato cake. You can then ring in the New Year to the sounds of live music and a DJ until 2am.

Coq D’Argent – The City
Feast on five fabulous courses at Coq D’Argent, the sophisticated French fare on offer includes a ballotine of foie gras and yellow fin tuna. Look no further than Coq d’Argent for a unique spectacle of an evening overlooking the city. They will have a resident DJ throughout the night, with accompanying dance floor on our Bar Terrace from 20:00-01:00. Of course no New Year’s is complete without the skies lighting up at Midnight, and we will make sure the sky above is shining bright, by putting on our own firework display at midnight.
On top of all of this music, dancing and excitement, there is naturally a delicious meal. We will be offering a 5 course menu for £125 per person for the evening, with dishes such as pan fried filet of beef, smoked duck terrine and dark chocolate and pear marquise on offer – your senses should be overloaded from start to finish of this fabulous night.
