St. John Marylebone

This Autumn restaurant institution St. John will open its first new restaurant in 7 years, it will be an all-day eatery that celebrates food and wine in equal measure. The menu is being created by the inimitable Fergus Henderson and Chef-Director Jonathan Woolway, it is yet to be revealed but its  inspired by the bars of Paris and Florence you can expect something exciting and luxurious alike their past restaurants.

 

 

 

The Theatre Café Diner, West End

 

Leicester Square

 

Situated over two floors at 154 Shaftesbury Avenue, this cafe is said to offer a “full theatrical dining experience”, whilst enjoying classic high quality diner food, guests will also have live singers performing classic show tunes in front of them. The new venue will also host special events, including West End Musical brunches and live performances. The perfect spot for a fun birthday or celebration for someone who loves theatre, the menu will have fun spins on classic musical tunes such as “La Vegan Boheme!” (a vegan patty in a burger bun with lettuce, tomato, ketchup, yellow mustard, pickles and diced onion).

Notting Hill

 

An exciting new restaurant coming to Notting Hill where you can expect three-sided banquettes, marble tables, antique wood panelling, a copper bar, bespoke brass lighting, smoked mirrors and Bentwood chairs. Head chef Max Coen has worked in two Michelin-starred Kitchen Table, two Michelin-starred Ikoyi, and three Michelin Star Frantzén, so you can look forward to a fab menu.

 

 

 

Elis

 

Bethnal Green

 

Taking over the old Corner Room site in the Town Hall Hotel, Elis is the second restaurant from chef Rafael Cagali, who also oversees the two-Michelin starred Da erra in the Bethnal Green property. Offering an à la carte menu reflecting Cagali’s Italian/Brazilian heritage you can enjoy tasteful European means along with wines from the Noble Rot team.

 

 

 

 

Mayfair

 

All the way from LA, Sparrow Italia is now coming to mayafir! If you’re in the mood for some good  pizza and pasta scoffed in glamorous surroundings soundtracked by a DJ, this is the spot. Sparrow is a modern coastal Italian restaurant, featuring an expansive menu by Chef AJ McCloud consisting of comforting Italian and Mediterranean classics with creative twists. Split across three floors, this spot will include a bar and lounge on the ground floor, a dining room and outdoor terrace on the first floor, a parlour dining room on the second floor, and a cigar lounge occupying the third floor, will lots of wood, marble, emerald and blue adding to the Mediterranean vibe.

Portobello

 

Tik tok star Thomas Straker was a big hit on social over the pandemic, cooking what he called “food you want to eat”. Now the chef is opening his own place on ever-improving Golborne Road! With ver 780k followers on Instagram we csn suggest that the 40 seat restaurant will be a big hit so et your bookings in early. The menu will naturally follow Straker’s online showcase of Italian-leaning dishes, with opening menu items, look out for his well known slow-cooked lamb shoulder with broad beans & salsa verde.

 

 

 

The World’s Most Rubbish Bar by Discarded Spirits Co.

 

OXO Tower Wharf

 

Running from 20th-22nd October, this pop up will be an immersive experience giving you 5 cocktails with your ticket. Discarded makes award-winning zero-waste spirits; the lovingly crafted Discarded Grape Skin Vodka, Discarded Banana Peel Rum and Discarded Sweet Cascara Vermouth all in 100 percent recyclable bottles. This two hour immersive experience will make you think twice about chucking away those banana peels and show you how to create your own tasty zero-waste ingredients at home. Every touchpoint in this multi-storey experience will be made from “waste”, such as drinks from the Discarded Circular Cocktail Economy – where they source ingredients from local bars and restaurants previously destined for the bin and transform them into delectable cocktails!
