LONDON STOCK, THE AWARD WINNING RESTAURANT FROM CHEF PATRON SEBASTIAN RAST ANNOUNCES LAUNCH OF THE STOCK ROOM
This February will see the launch of The Stock Room, London Stock’s private dining space, located just below the award-winning restaurant in Mayfair, which has recently been featured in the Michelin Guide and currently boasts 3 AA Rosettes.
Seating up to 20 guests, The Stock Room will provide guests with an intimate dining space to enjoy Chef Patron Sebasitan Rast’s seasonally inspired tasting menu, taking familiar favourites and elevating them to a new level. Working with a close network of producers and suppliers, London Stock has sustainability at its core, using creative cooking techniques to ensure as much of the produce is used as possible.
In celebration of the launch, Chef Sebastian’s famed seasonal wellingtons will return to the menu, exclusively for The Stock Room guests. Other new creations will make an appearance on the four-course set menu as the seasons change, including a quail roulade and rhubarb hibiscus entremet, along with London Stock’s established favourites such as the smoked burrata with beetroot, pistachio and dark balsamic, and the cherry tomato risotto with basil, parmesan and white tomato foam.
The restaurant’s bar also occupies the space, offering guests a selection of cocktails, expertly curated by the bar team to mirror Chef Sebastian’s intricate menu, including the fireside velvet and the penicillin. Diners will also have the unique opportunity to select wines from the restaurant’s black book of wine, exclusive to the Stock Room, which offers a hand-selected list celebrating vintage, rare, and limited-release wines.
Guests will be escorted to The Stock Room via the restaurant upstairs, descending the staircase and upon entering, will be greeted by the eye-catching geometric table that divides the room, seating 20. Rich jewel tones are prevalent throughout the space, illuminated by warm lighting and framed by the restaurant’s impressive wine collection and local artwork. Towards the back of the room sits the bar, seating four guests, and providing the perfect pre-dinner spot for drinks.
Founded by Cordon Bleu trained Assem Abdel Hady and Andres Bernal, London Stock opened at its original site in Wandsworth in 2020, and following its success, the restaurant moved to its new home in the heart of Mayfair in October last year, giving it a new stage for the elevated menus from Chef Sebastian and his team. The main dining room upstairs continues to offer a range of menus, from the signature 8-course tasting menu (£85), to the 4-course dinner (£60) and 3-course pre-theatre offering (£50) in the evening. For lunch, in addition to the tasting menu, London Stock offers an à la carte menu, plus a 3-course (£40) and 4-course (£50) lunch.
Chef Patron Sebastian Rast says, “Since relocating to Mayfair late last year, we’ve loved welcoming familiar faces as well as new ones to London Stock. We’ve worked hard making The Stock Room into something that feels really special and different from our classic dining experience. My team and I have developed a new menu that reflects this, welcoming back some familiar favourites alongside some really exciting specials, always changing with the seasons.”
