So even though the Chinese celebrate a month later than us, we are still very excited to embrace the Chinese New Year with delicious dim sum and festive feasts! Here are some of our favourite places to dine for this annual Chinese festival that is just around the corner.

Try out the customized cocktail menu, fortune telling, close-up magic performances and a red envelope for every guest featuring prizes ranging from a free beer to a £100 bar tab. The acclaimed chefs at Chai Wu have put together a menu that can be enjoyed through to the end of January that incorporates both famous traditional and contemporary Chinese dishes. We love the wagyu beef in a red wine and black pepper sauce, and For dessert guests can choose from either mandarin sorbet or papaya, snow fungus and red date Surround yourself at Chai Wu by the five elements of Chinese philosophy; wood, metal, water, earth and fire for total Fueg Sui!

Prepare to be blown away by the CNY offering at Yauatcha. The special menu running until 11th February includes a red dim sum dish of truffled crab dumplings, a ‘Red Moutai’ cocktail made with the Chinese spirit baijiu, and who couldn’t leave one of Londons most renowned Asian eateries without something for the patisserie? It must be the red petits gateaux to finish!

Hutong at The Shard are serving a four-course feast for CNY (including a raw seafood salad with sweet plum sauce and Shanghai wonton in chicken broth) called the Double Happiness Meal (and it is defiantly going to make us very happy!). Also at the event on January 28th there will be Chinese calligrapher available to provide you with personalised mementos. All from the 33rd floor!
