CELEBRATE HER MAJESTY’S PLATINUM JUBILEE WITH AFTERNOON TEA AND JAZZ IN THE STUNNING GROUNDS OF HORWOOD HOUSE
To commemorate HRH’s Queen Elizabeth’s Platinum Jubilee, idyllic Grade-II listed country hotel Horwood House will be hosting a grand al-fresco Jubilee Afternoon Tea on Thursday 2nd June. Served beside the lily pond in the picturesque grounds of the hotel, delight in the royally British tradition of finger sandwiches and sweet treats accompanied by the sounds of a live jazz duo. With sittings available from 2-5pm, the Bottomless Jubilee Jazz Afternoon Tea will begin with free-flowing prosecco for two hours and a selection of traditional sandwiches such as smoked salmon and cream cheese, brie and caramelised onion and duck egg with mayonnaise. A mixture of classic and fruit scones make up the second tier, before patriotic and fun sweet treats, handmade by the hotel’s dedicated pastry chef. The tea is priced at £49 per adult, inclusive of two hours of bottomless bubbles or soft drinks, and £24.50 per child.

Then book the Jubilee Weekend Break package (£299), which includes an overnight stay for two in one of the hotels Deluxe bedrooms, as well as the opportunity to relax and unwind in the brand-new H Spa – complete with a detoxifying sauna, steam room, 15-metre swimming pool and heated tranquillity beds.
In the evening, indulge in a delicious dinner at Harry’s Bar & Kitchen with a £30pp allocation. With Executive Chef Will Dimartino at the helm, expect seasonal ingredients to be at the heart of each dish with highlights on the menu including goat’s cheese with roasted beetroot and maple walnuts; 48-hour slow cooked beef brisket with confit carrot; and lemon meringue pie served with strawberry ice cream.
